The Economic Society, SBBU SBA, successfully hosted an inspiring and thought-provoking session titled “Fueling the Future: Realities That Shape Tomorrow” with our esteemed guest speaker, Dr. Rafique Ahmed Khoso, on September 16, 2025. Facilitated by Dr. Zahid Hussain Channa and organized by Dr. Waheed Ali Talpur.

Current Economic Realities of Pakistan and Future Pathways

The Department of Economics at Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University successfully organized a seminar titled “Current Economic Realities of Pakistan and Future Pathways.”

The session commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. Zahid Hussain Channa, Chairman of the Department of Economics, who emphasized the importance of meaningful dialogue on Pakistan’s economic challenges and prospects. The distinguished guest speaker, Prof. Dr. Sarfraz Ahmed Dhakan from IBA Sukkur, delivered an insightful presentation highlighting the major challenges confronting Pakistan’s economy. He also shared pragmatic and forward-looking recommendations aimed at achieving sustainable growth and development in the coming years. The seminar concluded with Prof. Dr. Salman Bashir, Dean of the Faculty of Management and Business Administration, delivering closing remarks and extending a heartfelt vote of thanks to the guest and participants.
